K has a few online communities with varying sizes.
Chat
- the k tree - A StackExchange based chat room which has the most regular visitors. Requires 20 reputation on the site. You can contact Razetime to request entry.
- The APL Farm(Discord, Matrix) - Chatrooms for discussing APL/J/K family languages. More than 300 members as of January 2022.

on irc.libera.chat is frequented by a few K and Q users, but is not very active.
Mail groups
- Shakti Official group Active and frequented by Shakti employees, including Arthur Whitney. Primarily focuses on K9.
- Kona users group mostly discusses the K3 dialect, but allows discussion of K in general.
